Our experience in Perfecta, Constanta and IMA machinery is unrivaled. We at Ambassador Tea are pioneers in the industry having set up Sri Lanka's first tea bagging line almost 30 years ago using the world renowned Constanta tea bagging machinery for Akbar Brothers (Pvt) Ltd, where M. N. de Lanerolle, Chairman of Ambassador Tea was also responsible for the subsequent expansion of the plant up to 18 Constantas and 1 Perfecta.

Together with his brother Mohan de Lanerolle went onto be in the forefront of setting up tea bagging plants. They personally installed the majority of tea bagging plants in Sri Lanka.

More recently in 2004 Ambassador Tea was responsible for building, operating and transferring a 4000 square meter plant in the Middle East with an annual production capacity of 530 million tea bags and 20 million kg of loose packs.

We are proficient and experienced in the setting up of the simplest and cost effective one machine plants to the most sophisticated state of the art operations.

Project Management (B.O.T – Terms)
Generally machine suppliers offer their very own packaging lines which do not give the client optimum production, flexibility and may not always be cost effective.

Each client's requirement varies and should be regarded individually. Flexibility is an important factor to enable the client to make a change in production levels at any time and for the ease of possible expansion.

• Ambassador Tea services support the client in sourcing the best machinery and offering the client many options and a variety of layouts to select from.

• Our team of experts; develop, design and install all machinery.
  Machinery include: blending, atomizing, conveying, tea transport, dust extraction, air and connections, carton erection, tea bagging, weighing, lid closure, laser or inkjet  printing, over-wrapping, bundling, case packing, shrink wrapping and all other connected machinery.

• We undertake the test run and inspection at pre-shipment stage of machinery.

• We can also provide the best possible layout for the factory plan and manage specific tea packaging plant construction.

• Ambassador Tea also being an exporter of tea is able to offer the client an exclusive package for the sourcing and supply of the required tea straight lines/blends from Sri Lanka, Kenya, India and Vietnam.

• We undertake the sourcing of suppliers for printed and unprinted materials and raw materials.

• Ambassador Tea sources and trains the necessary professionals to take over the factory operations and ensure the smooth running post hand over.

• We also provide the suitable training services for existing personnel.

• Setting up and streamlining of proper systems and procedures for all factory departments including production, quality and stores/stock and the implementation of standards such as ISO, HACCP & SQF

• We compliment the client's sale and marketing team by formulating marketing strategies and campaigns and also carry out market research and creative input on product design.

• Ambassador Tea guarantees an optimum level standard of production within a specified period of time and will ensure that all personnel are fully trained to take over operations before the hand over.

Production, Plant & Operations Management
Ambassador Tea will take over existing plant and act as the management company to bring the operation to the required standard. We will provide the required expertise at senior and junior management levels and skilled labor to ensure the proper implementation of systems and procedures, stream lining quality procedures and bringing them up to accepted levels, optimizing production and efficiencies through proper maintenance of machinery, reduction in damages and strict quality control.

Ambassador Tea's Team consist of skilled staff who have undergone specific training in Germany and the United Kingdom on all relative machinery and practice quality control and management procedures certified by AOTS, Japan.
